Who builds it
Team Time Map is a personal project run by Vineet Shukla, based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It's free to use, with no account and no subscription.
Why it exists
Working with people in other countries means constantly asking “what time is it for them?” and “when are we all at work?”. A world clock tells you the time difference, but not whether your teammates' working days actually overlap. Team Time Map puts each person's local time, working hours and daylight on one shared timeline, so you can pick a meeting time without doing the maths.
How it works
- Local times and daylight saving come from your browser's built-in time-zone database, the same one your computer's clock uses.
- Day and night are worked out from each city's latitude and longitude and the sun's position, so sunrise and sunset follow the real seasons.
- Clock-change alerts look three weeks ahead and one week back, so you notice when the gap between two places is about to shift.
- Best times suggests one-hour windows that suit the most people's working hours. Working hours are a usual schedule, not live calendar availability.
- Your team stays in your browser. Share links carry the team in the part of the address after “#”, which isn't sent to our servers. See the privacy policy.
