Who we are

Team Time Map is a personal project run by Vineet Shukla, based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Questions about privacy or your data? Email hello@teamtimemap.com.

Your team stays in your browser

The people you add are stored only in your browser's local storage, so the app works when you come back. This is strictly necessary for the service and never leaves your device unless you share a link. Share links contain the team in the part of the address after “#”, which browsers don't send to our servers.

What we collect

• Anonymous usage events, such as “a teammate was added” or “a link was shared”, with time zones and team size.
• Approximate location (country and city) worked out from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored.
• Browser and device type.

We never collect the names you type. We set no cookies and store no tracking identifiers in your browser.

Why

To understand how the product is used and improve it. Our legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Who processes it

• PostHog, hosted in the EU, for analytics. See the PostHog privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept for 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act, California law), you can ask to access or delete data, object to processing, and complain to your supervisory authority. Since the data is anonymous we may not be able to link it to you, but we'll help where we can.

We automatically stop counting if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. You can also switch it off here:

What we don't do

We don't sell or share data for advertising. The service isn't intended for children under 13.
